Raised among Napa Valleys finest vineyards and considered by many today as the Mark Zuckerberg of the wine industry. He is also one of the best award-winning filmmaker/producers for the wine, food, lifestyle, hospitality, luxury and travel industry internationally. Jason’s combined gifts as a wine specialist, educator, entertainer, spokesperson took him to jobs in nearly every arena of the wine and hospitality industry.
From an early age Jason had a natural attraction to sports as well as to the visual and performing arts. Painting, singing and dancing became passions and it was a California State School scholarship in dance that got him into Fresno State University at the age of 16. Can you believe this dance career started because of football? It was suggested by Jason’s football coach after he had heard about the San Francisco 49ers having taken dance lessons. By age 17, he auditioned at the San Francisco Ballet Company and was selected from hundreds candidates. Almost simultaneously he was hired as an entertainer by Royal Caribbean International and became the youngest professional singer/dancer to perform in “Cast Review” aboard the “Legend Of The Seas.” By age 20, Jason had gained noteworthy dance and choreography experience worked and performed with Debbie Gibson, Tommy Tune, Gregory Hines, Savion Glover and Janet Jackson’s Dancers. Upon returning home he continued to choreograph for the Miss Teen and the Miss California Pageants.
Jason’s knowledge of entertainment combined with his sales and marketing skills led him to form JTE Productions & Entertainment, a business centering into the education of vineyards and wine sales through video production. In addition to now owning several of the most trending wine brands on the market, Jason owns a wine publication titled “Wine Consumer Magazine” as well as other smart phone applications and related products that are sold in over 14 countries. He occasionally fills the role of a wine industry spokesman at various marketing companies and symposiums, as well as having been designated an ambassador for the California wine industry at “International Wine Country”. Jason is also producing and hosting a multi-part series for international television distribution. “Jason Elkin Uncorked” combines wine education and travel into an exciting and entertaining vehicle for wine enthusiasts everywhere. He is also developing China as a new wine region. He is planting Vineyards and working with government officials in all major cities throughout China.
Jason is a forward-thinking digital and video content creator. He will be producing and starring in “WET” (Wine Entertainment Tasting) interactive wine-tasting for theaters of casinos, cruise ships, hotels, resorts, as well as for TV. “WET” Technology integrates physical and visual interactive technology with product placement and branding, giving the viewers an intimate relationship with the products. This reduces the understanding cycle time to “zero” by allowing the audience to be educated and informed on an advanced level when and as they first see it. Jason explains the “WET” concept and style as being a blend of magic show, music video, and a healthy serving of “Fantasia” and wine history.
Mr. Elkin is a sought after jump-to producer. He is also the CEO of “Alchemy Media Enterprises” (AME), a concept development firm, as well as Executive Producer and host for the TV show “Hollywood Uncorked”. When he’s not producing shows, Jason works on his other business investments, wine and spirit brands, partnerships and inventing new products and technologies.
